Enter advanced TCP/IP settings on Mac
Use the advanced TCP/IP settings of Network preferences to adjust your TCP/IP settings. You might need to do this if your network administrator or ISP requires you to manually set up an IPv6 address, or change your TCP/IP settings from automatically receiving an IP address using DHCP to manually setting it.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, then click Network.In the list at the left, select the network connection you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet), then click Advanced.
Click TCP/IP, then click the Configure IPv4 or Configure IPv6 pop-up menu to make the adjustments required by your ISP or network administrator.
If your ISP or network administrator requires it and you configure IPv4 or IPv6 using DHCP, enter the DHCP Client ID.
