Add a network service
A network service is a group of settings for a specific network port (a physical network connector, such as your computer’s Ethernet port or Wi-Fi card) or other network interface (such as a VPN).
By default, Network preferences already includes services for each of your network ports.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network.
Click the Add button at the bottom of the list at the left.
Click the Interface pop-up menu, choose a network interface, such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, give the service a name, then click Create.
Select the new service in the list, then enter the appropriate settings.
To change which configuration is used first when more than one is active, click the Action pop-up menu at the bottom of the list, then choose Set Service Order. Drag the service you want to use first to the top of the list.
