Change Wallet & Apple Pay preferences on Mac
If your Mac has Touch ID, use Wallet & Apple Pay preferences to add credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, store cards, and Apple Card to make payments on websites that support Apple Pay.
To open this pane on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Wallet & Apple Pay.

Option | Description |
---|---|
Default Card | The credit, debit, prepaid, or store card that’s used by Apple Pay by default. You can choose a different card when you make a purchase. You can also use Apple Card as your default card. For information about getting started with Apple Card, see the Apple Card website. |
Contact and Shipping | Choose a default shipping address, email address, and telephone number to use with Apple Pay. Or you can enter new contact and shipping details. |
Add | Add a new card. You can add a card using your computer’s camera or by typing the card information. Click the Add button , then follow the onscreen instructions. |
Remove | Select a card, then click the Remove button to remove it. |
Transactions | Select a card, click Transactions, then select the checkbox beside “Show transaction notifications from” to display recent transaction details associated with the selected card. This list may include only transactions made on this Mac, or all recent transactions, depending on the card. (Transactions aren’t available for all cards.) |
Billing Address | Select a card, then choose an existing billing address, or enter a new billing address, for the card. |
Device Account Number | A number that’s unique to your Mac and the selected card. This number is generated by your bank or your bank’s authorized service provider when you add a card to Wallet & Apple Pay, and is used instead of your actual card number for greater security. |
