Replace or retake clips in Magic Movies in iMovie on iPhone
You can easily replace or retake individual video clips and photos in your Magic Movie.
Replace a video clip or photo with another from your library
In the iMovie app
on your iPhone, open a Magic Movie project.Tap a video clip or photo in the list.
If the clip you want to select is in a group, first tap the disclosure triangle of the group, then tap the video clip or photo.
Tap the Edit button
to the right of the clip, then tap Replace From Library.At the top of the screen, tap Photos to choose a video clip or photo from your Camera Roll, or tap Albums to choose a video clip or photo from an album in your Photos library.
Tap the video clip or photo you want to add.
Retake a video clip or photo
In the iMovie app
on your iPhone, open a Magic Movie project.Tap a video clip or photo in the list.
If the clip you want to select is in a group, first tap the disclosure triangle of the group, then tap the video clip or photo.
Tap the Edit button
to the right of the clip, then tap Retake Video or Photo.Do one of the following:
Retake a video clip: Tap the Record button
to begin recording video; tap it again to stop recording.You can tap the resolution and frame rate in the upper right to change how the video is recorded. To turn on the automatic flash, tap the Flash button
in the upper left.Retake a photo: Tap the Shutter button
to take a photo.To turn on the automatic flash, tap the Flash button
in the upper left.
Tap Use Video or Use Photo to replace the video clip or photo in your project, or tap Retake to try again.
