Install the Apple Sports app on iPhone
The Apple Sports app is available for free in the App Store when you sign in to your Apple Account on any iPhone with iOS 17.2 or later in the United States, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Portugal, or Austria.
You can also add the Apple Sports app widget to the Home Screen or Lock Screen on your iPhone, or to the desktop or Notification Center on your Mac, so that you can keep track of scores from your favorite teams or a single league.
Note: Live Activities (live scores and play updates on your iPhone Lock Screen) requires iOS 18 or later. To update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS, see the Apple Support article Update your iPhone or iPad.
Install the Apple Sports app on iPhone
Go to the App Store
app on your iPhone, then search for Apple Sports.Tap Get.
If asked, use Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to install the app.
Get the Apple Sports app widget on iPhone or Mac
Make sure you’ve installed the latest version of the Apple Sports app (3.3 or later) from the App Store.

Tip: To quickly find Sports app widgets, enter “Sports” in the Search Widgets field.
