Terminal Keyboard preferences
Use Keyboard preferences in Terminal to set the keyboard behavior for a window profile. To open this pane, choose Terminal > Preferences, click Profiles, then click Keyboard.
You can create a new profile or modify an existing profile.
Key list | To modify a key, select it, click Edit, change the key settings, then click OK. | ||||||||||
Add button | To create a new key, click the Add button | ||||||||||
Remove button | To remove a key, select a key in the list, then click the Remove button | ||||||||||
Use Option as Meta key | To have the Option key on the keyboard act as a meta key, select “Use option as meta key.” This is useful for computers running X11 and for some text editors. | ||||||||||
Scroll alternate screen | To enable alternate screen scrolling, select “Scroll alternate screen.” |
