About Automator actions for System Image Utility on Mac
Certain actions create files, follow specific processes, and use command line tools.
The Apply System Configuration Settings action creates two files: bindingNames.plist, for directory binding; and sharingNames.plist, for automatic computer naming. These files cannot be edited.
The Add User Account action uses the
dsclcommand to create the user account. See the dscl man page.
The following table shows which actions can use storage devices
