Selectively adjust the clarity and texture of an image in Pixelmator Pro on iPad
Use the Selective Clarity controls in the Color Adjustments pane to increase or decrease clarity and texture in shadows, midtones, or highlights. This is helpful when you want to bring out detail in one part of an image without affecting another, especially in images with distinct areas of continuous tones such as a bright sky with dark clouds. Clarity makes images appear sharper, while texture emphasizes surface details and edges to make detail more pronounced.
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select
in the Tools sidebar, then turn on Selective Clarity in the Color Adjustments pane.
Select a tonal range (Shadows, Midtones, Highlights) to choose where to apply clarity adjustments.
Adjust the Clarity and Texture sliders:
Clarity: Drag right to enhance sharpness and local contrast, or left to create a softer look.
Texture: Drag right to emphasize surface details, or left to smooth textures.
