Delete a voice memo on your Mac
Delete recordings you no longer need.
Delete a voice memo
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, select the recording in the sidebar you want to delete.
Choose Edit > Delete or press Delete.
If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, swipe left with two fingers on the recording (in the list), then click Delete.
The recording you delete is moved to the Recently Deleted folder. You can view and restore voice memos in the Recently Deleted folder for up to 30 days before they’re permanently deleted from all your iCloud devices. See Change preferences.
Recover a voice memo from Recently Deleted
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, click Recently Deleted, then select the recording to recover.
Click the Recover button in the upper-right corner.
To restore all deleted voice memos, click Recover All at the bottom of the sidebar.
Permanently erase a voice memo from Recently Deleted
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, click Recently Deleted, then select the recording to permanently erase it.
Click the Erase button in the upper-right corner. If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, swipe left with two fingers on the recording (in the list), then click Erase.
To erase all deleted voice memos, click Erase All at the bottom of the sidebar.
