
Create and save songs in GarageBand for iPhone
The My Songs browser is where you create new songs to record and arrange your music. From the My Songs browser, you can also open existing songs, duplicate, name, save and delete songs, and create folders to organise your songs.
Open the My Songs browser
Tap the Navigation button
 in the control bar, then tap My Songs.The Browse view shows song storage locations on your iPhone and iCloud Drive. The Recents view shows songs you last worked on.
Create a new song
In the My Songs browser, tap the Add Song button
 in the upper-right corner of the screen.The Sound browser opens, where you can choose a Touch Instrument to use in the song.
Create a new song for recording audio
You can quickly create a new song optimised for audio recordings from the Home screen or the My Songs browser.
Do either of the following:
On the Home screen: Touch and hold the GarageBand app icon until the menu appears, then tap Create New Audio Recording.
In the My Songs browser: Tap the New Audio Recording button
 near the upper-right corner of the screen.
A new song is created and the Audio Recorder opens. The Time Ruler is turned on and the section length is set to Automatic.
Open a different song
In the My Songs browser, locate the song you want to open, then tap the song. To see the songs in a folder, tap the folder.
Save the current song
You save the current song by opening the My Songs browser.
With a song open in GarageBand, tap the Navigation button
 in the control bar, then tap My Songs to open the My Songs browser. To continue working on the song, tap it in the My Songs browser.
Create a song folder
In the My Songs browser, tap the More button
, then tap New Folder.Use the keyboard to type a name for the folder, then tap Done
.
Move a song into a folder
In the My Songs browser, touch and hold a song, then drag it onto the folder.
When you move songs to iCloud Drive, a copy of the song is uploaded to iCloud Drive.
Move multiple songs into a folder
In the My Songs browser, tap the More button
, tap Select, then tap the songs you want to move.Touch and hold one of the selected songs, then tap Move in the menu that appears.
Navigate to the folder where you want to save your songs, then tap Move in the upper-right corner of the screen.
When you move a song to iCloud Drive, a copy of the song is uploaded to iCloud Drive.
Rename a song or folder
In the My Songs browser, touch and hold a song or folder, then tap Rename.
A keyboard appears, and the name appears in the name field with an insertion point.
Type a new name in the keyboard, then tap Done
.
Sort items in the My Songs browser
You can sort songs and folders in the My Songs browser by name, date, size or tags. By default, items are sorted by name.
In the My Songs browser, tap the More button
 in the upper-right corner of the screen.Choose a sort method from the menu.
Duplicate a song
In the My Songs browser, touch and hold a song, then tap Duplicate.
Delete a song
In the My Songs browser, touch and hold the song you want to delete, then tap Delete.
