The “current location” dialog
Some apps and websites use information about your current location to provide you with certain information, services, and features appropriate to where you are. For example, an app might use your information to help you find nearby coffee shops or theaters. Your location is approximated using data from nearby Wi-Fi networks.
Information about your location is collected by Location Services in a way that doesn’t personally identify you. The information is used only by the apps that you authorize to obtain it. This feature is not available in all areas.
To authorize an app or a website to use your location information, click OK in the dialog. If you don’t want to authorize the use of location information, click Don’t Allow.
If you allow third-party apps or websites to use your current location, you are subject to their terms and privacy policies and not the Apple Privacy Policy. You should review their terms and privacy policy to understand how they treat and use your location information.
For more information, see the Apple Privacy Policy.
