Add, delete, or view files in Feedback Assistant drafts on Mac
In Feedback Assistant on your Mac, you can add files to your feedback report when you create it, or add files later when you edit it.
Based on your answers to the questions, you might need to gather some additional files.
Add files to your feedback
In the sidebar of the Feedback Assistant app on your Mac, select the Drafts folder, double-click the draft feedback you want to add files to.
Click Previous in the lower-right corner to switch to the “Attach files” pane.
In the “Attach files” pane, click the Add button at the bottom of the file list.
Select a file, then click Open.
The file is added to your feedback.
You can also drag a file to the file list to add it to your feedback.
Gather and attach requested files
The file list may contain files that you need to collect and attach to your feedback report. These files are indicated by an Info button, a Gather Automatically button, or both buttons.
In the sidebar of the Feedback Assistant app on your Mac, select the Drafts folder, double-click the draft feedback you want to add files to.
Click Previous in the lower-right corner to switch to the “Attach files” pane.
In the “Attach files” pane, click the Info button or the Gather Automatically button to the right of a filename.
Do one of the following:
If you clicked the Info button, follow the onscreen instructions to get the file, click the Add button at the bottom of the file list, then select the file and click Open (or drag the file to the file list).
If you clicked the Gather Automatically button, the file is generated and added to your feedback automatically.
Take a screenshot to add it to your feedback
In the sidebar of the Feedback Assistant app on your Mac, select the Drafts folder, double-click the draft feedback you want to add screenshots to.
Click Previous in the lower-right corner to switch to the “Attach files” pane.
In the “Attach files” pane, click the Camera button at the bottom of the file list.
Press Command-Tab to switch to the app you want to take a screenshot in.
Select the area you want to capture.
The screenshot is added to your feedback automatically.
Delete files from your feedback
In the sidebar of the Feedback Assistant app on your Mac, select the Drafts folder, double-click the draft feedback you want to delete files from.
Click Previous in the lower-right corner to switch to the “Attach files” pane.
In the “Attach files” pane, select the file you want to delete, then click the Remove button at the bottom of the file list.
View the content of files attached to your feedback
In the sidebar of the Feedback Assistant app on your Mac, select the Drafts folder, double-click the draft feedback in which you want to review attached files.
Click Previous in the lower-right corner to switch to the “Attach files” pane.
In the “Attach files” pane, select the file you want to review, then click the magnifying glass button to the right of the filename.
The file is displayed in a Finder window. Press the Space bar to quickly review screenshot files. Double-click other types of files to open them.
