With monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment, a more affordable payment option might be available for some subscriptions.
Some service providers offer monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment. Your rate might be more affordable than the subscription cost without a commitment. Your rate stays the same for your commitment length.
Monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment aren't available in the United States or Singapore.
Monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment are available for select third-party subscription services.
How it works
When you subscribe to a monthly subscription with a 12-month commitment, you agree to complete all payments until your commitment is fulfilled.
Monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment are available on iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Tahoe 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4, or later.
Manage billing and cancellation
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of your commitment. To prevent the subscription from renewing, cancel your subscription at least one day before the renewal date.
Canceling your monthly subscription with a 12-month commitment
At any time during your commitment, you can cancel your subscription. Canceling before your commitment ends doesn't end your payment commitment.
If you cancel your subscription before your commitment ends:
You’ll continue to be billed for remaining payments until your commitment is fulfilled.
You’ll keep access to the service for the remainder of your commitment.
Your commitment won't automatically renew.
If the payment method on file can’t be charged
You might lose service access until payment is received. To avoid interruptions to your subscriptions and purchases, update your Apple Account payment method.
Upgrading your subscription plan
If a higher-tier plan upgrade is available, you can upgrade to a different plan during your 12-month commitment.
If you upgrade your plan during your 12-month commitment:
You'll immediately switch to the new plan.
You'll receive a prorated refund for any unused time in your current billing period.
Your commitment terms adjust to reflect your new plan.
