Update location information for a FHIR API endpoint
You can add, remove, and rename locations displayed for your organization’s FHIR API endpoint in the Health app on iPhone and iPad.
Add a location
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for an endpoint.
Click Add New Location (in the Locations section).
Choose the brand, then enter the address.
Enter a name for the location.
You can include the name in a subtitle for your organization’s listing in the Health app. (See Display a location name or related brand name in the subtitle.)
Click Done.
Click Manage Locations, click the address you entered, then click Send for Review.
After Apple approves and publishes the addition, the status for the location changes from Not Published to Published.
Add multiple locations simultaneously
If your organization has more than 10 locations, you can register all of them simultaneously by uploading their information in a spreadsheet. When providing location information, follow these guidelines:
Don’t list pediatric sites.
Don’t separately list departments or specialties that share the same addresses. Instead, enter only unique addresses.
Don’t list suite numbers.
To add multiple locations in a spreadsheet, do the following:
When viewing the Listed Locations and Brands screen while registering your organization or when viewing the Manage Locations screen after opening it from a FHIR API profile screen, click the link “importing a CSV file.”
Click “CSV template” to download a spreadsheet template.
Use the template to enter addresses, location names, and brand information.
Return to the screen at Apple Business Register, then click to upload the completed spreadsheet.
When the upload is finished, its information appears on the Review Locations screen.
To edit a location listed on the Review Locations screen, click its address; to remove a location, click .
Click Next.
Use the links in the Brand column to assign a brand name to every location, then click Done.
To add a name to a location or change how it appears in the Health app, click its address.
When finished, click Done.
Name or rename a location
You can assign a name to a location for display in the Health app.
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for an endpoint.
Click Manage Locations (in the Locations section).
Click the item in the Address column, then click Edit near the top of the screen.
Edit the Location Name field.
Click Done, then click Send for Review.
After Apple approves and publishes the addition, the status for the location changes from Not Published to Published.

Display a location’s name
You can display a location’s name in the Health app. See Display a location name or related brand name in the subtitle.
Change a location’s address or brand
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for an endpoint.
Click Manage Locations (in the Locations section).
Click the item in the Address or Brand column, then click Edit near the top of the screen.
Make your changes, click Done, then click Send for Review.
After Apple approves and publishes the addition, the status for the location changes from Not Published to Published.
Remove a location
You can remove a location from the Health app.
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for an endpoint.
Click Manage Locations (in the Locations section).
Click in the right column for that location, then select Delete Location.
Click Send for Review.
If you remove a location after the FHIR API endpoint has been published, Apple’s review is required to prevent unintentional removals that impact discoverability of your organization in the Health app. Apple sends an email to the contacts with Administrator and Read Only privileges when the location is removed from the Health app.
Delist or relist a location in the Health app
You can delist a location in the Health app by removing the location from its FHIR API profile. You may delist a location, for example, if it’s the address of your corporate headquarters or if the location isn’t currently open for business.
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for an endpoint.
Click Manage Locations (in the Locations section).
Do one of the following:
Delist a location: Click in the right column for that location, then select Remove from FHIR API Profile.
Relist a location: Click Add Location, select Existing Location, select the location, then click Add Location.
Click Send for Review.
Note: If you delist or relist a location after the FHIR API endpoint has been published, Apple’s review is required to prevent unintentional removals that impact your patients’ access to health record downloads. Apple sends an email to the contacts with Administrator and Read Only privileges when the location is updated in the Health app.
