Change page output options before printing on Mac
Before printing, use the Page Setup dialog to set document output options. The Page Setup dialog has different options depending on your printer and the app you’re using.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Settings | Choose Page Attributes to create settings for the current document. |
Format For | If you’re creating settings that you want to apply to any printer, choose Any Printer. If the settings are for a specific printer, choose the printer’s name. |
Paper Size | Specify the page size. When you create a new document in this app, the document is automatically formatted to fit this page size. |
Orientation | Select portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation. |
Scale | Type the percentage by which you want to reduce or enlarge the printout. If you’re printing a document to a paper size that’s different from the size the document was formatted for, use the “Scale to fit paper size” option in the Print dialog. |
When you print, you’ll see additional options for controlling the appearance of your document in the Print dialog.
