Change Parental Controls Stores preferences on Mac
Use the Stores pane of Parental Controls System Preferences to disable access to the iTunes Store and to disable access to the Book Store in Apple Books. Limit a child’s access to music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books to only those with age-appropriate ratings.
To open this pane, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Parental Controls.
Click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password (or if your Mac has Touch ID, use Touch ID).
Select a user, then click Stores.
Disable iTunes Store, iTunes U, and Apple Books | Select the checkboxes to prevent the child from accessing the iTunes Store, iTunes U, and the Book Store in Apple Books. |
Restrict music with explicit content | Select the checkbox to block music with explicit content. |
Restrict movies, TV shows, and apps to | Select the checkboxes and choose age-appropriate ratings from the corresponding pop-up menus to restrict access to movies, TV shows, and apps. |
Restrict books with explicit sexual content | Select the checkbox to block books with explicit sexual content. |
Logs | Click Logs to get information on the child’s app and Internet activities. See Check which apps and websites your child has used. |
