View other family members’ purchases in the Apple TV app on Mac
If you’ve set up Family Sharing, you can use the Apple TV app to view purchases made by other family members.
With Family Sharing, up to six family members can download each other’s purchases to their own computers and devices. Family members can also hide their purchases so others can’t download them.
View and download other family members’ purchases
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, do either of the following:
Click Library at the top of the window, then click the arrow next to Library in the sidebar and select a family member’s library.
To view only your downloaded items, select Downloaded in the sidebar on the left.
Choose Account > Purchased (or Family Purchases if you’re the family organiser), then click your name near the top-left corner (next to Purchased) and choose a family member to view their purchases and subscriptions.
To download a purchased item, click its download button .
Hide your purchases
Family members can hide their individual purchases from other family members.
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, choose Account > Purchased (or Family Purchases if you’re the family organiser).
In the top-left corner, select your name from the list of family members.
Click a content type on the right.
A list of purchases for the selected content type appears.
Move the pointer over the item you want to hide, click the Delete button , then click Hide.
To see purchases you’ve hidden, choose Account > View My Account, sign in, then click Manage to the right of Hidden Purchases (in the Downloads and Purchases section). To make a hidden item visible again, click the item’s Unhide button.
When you subscribe to an Apple TV channel, you can share your subscription with family members. Each family member uses their own account and has their own favourites, viewing history and recommendations.
Important: To share purchases and subscriptions, all members of the family group must be in the same country or region (as determined by the billing address associated with their Apple ID). If a family member moves to another country or region and updates their Apple ID information, that person might lose access to the purchases of other family members and installed apps that were shared by other family members might not work. (see the Apple Support article Change your Apple ID country or region).
