Start or join a call from a FaceTime link
You can create a link for a FaceTime call on your Mac and then share the link with anyone you want to join the call. To use FaceTime links, devices must meet these requirements.
Create and share a FaceTime link
Go to the FaceTime app on your Mac.
Do one of the following:
Create a link to a new FaceTime call: Click Create Link.
Create a link to the current FaceTime call: Click , then click Share Link.
Share an existing FaceTime link: Move your pointer over the link, click , then click Share Link.
Choose how you want to share the link.
Join a call from a link
Do any of the following:
From the FaceTime app: Double-click the FaceTime link, then click Join.
From the Messages app: Click Join.
If you created the link, the call starts when you join.
Note: People using an Android or Windows device can join the call on the web. See the Apple Support article Join a FaceTime call from an Android or Windows device.
Manage callers
You can manage callers if you created the FaceTime link. You can also manage callers if you’re using an Apple device and have been in the call for at least 30 seconds.
Do any of the following:
Let someone join the call: Move your pointer over the join request notification, click Options, then click Accept. You can also click , then click .
Decline a caller’s request to join: Move your pointer over the join request notification, click Options, then click Decline. You can also click , then click .
Remove a caller: Click , then click Remove. You can remove a caller who has been in the call for 30 seconds or less. After you remove a caller, they can’t join that call again.
Delete a FaceTime link
Go to the FaceTime app on your Mac.
Move the pointer over the FaceTime link you want to delete, click , then click Delete Link. If you delete a link that you created, no one can join the call from it.
