Update Beats
For the best experience, keep your Beats up to date with the latest firmware. As new features and improvements are rolled out, firmware updates are delivered automatically (over the air) while your Beats are charging and in Bluetooth® range of your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android device. (Your device must be connected to Wi-Fi to install any updates.) You can check your firmware version using your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
On an Android device, you can update your Beats firmware or check your firmware version using the Beats app.
Make sure your Beats are connected to your device, then do any of the following:
iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings
, tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen, scroll down to the About section, then look for the Version number.
Mac: Choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click the name of your Beats in the sidebar, then look for the Version number.Android device: Go to the Beats app
, scroll down to “Under the Hood” in the device screen, then look for the Firmware version number. If an update is available, tap the Update button, then follow the onscreen instructions.Tip: To keep your Beats updated automatically, turn on Allowed in the Optimise Your Beats Product section of the device screen of the Beats app for Android.
