Export users and groups to a file in macOS Server
You can export users and groups to a text file, which is an easy way to move accounts on another server.
Passwords aren’t included in the export file, but you can edit the file to include them.
You can export:
- Selected users or groups 
- Local users or groups 
- Network users or groups 
- In the sidebar of the Server app  , select Users or Groups. , select Users or Groups.
- Select the desired users or groups. 
- Click the More button  and choose Export Users or Export Groups. and choose Export Users or Export Groups.
- Click the Export pop-up menu, then choose the source of the users or groups: - Your selected users or groups 
- The local directory 
- Any of the bound network servers 
 
- Enter a file name and folder, then click Export. 
You can use the dsexport command-line tool to create character-delimited text files of accounts on your network server. For information about how to use dsexport, enter man dsexport in Terminal.
