
Use Headphone Accommodations on Mac
With Headphone Accommodations, you can amplify soft sounds and adjust certain frequencies to best suit your hearing and help phone calls and media sound crisper and clearer.
Note: Headphone Accommodations on Mac works with AirPods Pro 2.
Adjust certain frequencies and soft sounds
Make sure you’ve paired your AirPods or paired your other supported Bluetooth headphones with your Mac.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click Accessibilityin the sidebar, then click Audio. (You may need to scroll down.)
Turn on Headphone Accommodations.
Adjust any of the following:
Frequencies: Click the “Tune audio for” pop-up menu, then choose an option to boost different frequencies.
Soft sounds: Drag the Optimization slider to set an amplification level for soft sounds.
To preview your audio settings, click Play Sample.
Turn on any of the following:
Phone: Apply the settings to phone calls.
Media: Apply the settings to media playback like music, movies, and podcasts.
With some supported headphones, you can personalize your headphone audio based on what sounds good to you. Click Custom Audio Setup, then follow the onscreen instructions.
