Change screen sharing connection settings on Mac
On your Mac, you can view or change the settings for a screen sharing connection.
Note: You can view the details for any connection (except an Apple Account connection), but you can edit only user-created, nonmanaged connections.
Go to the Screen Sharing app
on your Mac.In the Connections window, click
next to a connection.If you don’t see the Connections window, choose Window > Connections.
View or change the settings.
Click Done.

Name | The display name of the connection. | ||||||||||
Server Address | The IP address or DNS name of the server. | ||||||||||
Username | The user name used to authenticate the connection. | ||||||||||
Screen Sharing Type | The type of screen sharing (Standard or High Performance). | ||||||||||
Display Type | The number of virtual displays. This option is only available with High Performance screen sharing. | ||||||||||
Port | The server TCP port number for the connection. Mac computers use port 5900 by default. | ||||||||||
