Browse your network for an AVB device in Audio MIDI Setup on Mac
Connect an audio video bridging (AVB) device to your Ethernet network and use the Network Device Browser in Audio MIDI Setup to browse for it.
When you select the device, the Network Device Browser displays its capabilities, such as audio, video, and MIDI. The device appears in the Audio Device list in Audio MIDI Setup, and can be set up like any other device in the list. Before you begin, make sure you are connected to your Ethernet network
In the Audio MIDI Setup app on your Mac, choose Window > Show Network Device Browser.
If AVB is enabled, a list of devices appears, and you can go to step 6.
If AVB isn’t enabled, click Assist Me.
The Network pane of System Preferences opens.
Click Advanced.
Click Hardware, then select the AVB/EAV Mode checkbox.
If the checkbox is dimmed, click the Configure pop-up menu, choose Manually, then select the AVB/EAV checkbox.
Click OK, click Apply, then close the Network pane.
In the Network Device Browser, select the device you want to use.
Only one computer at a time can connect to an AVB device. Deselect the checkbox in the Network Device Browser to disconnect the device.
