About provider page design elements in Public Site Manager
By default, iTunes U Public Site Manager creates a provider page ready for publishing; including top content, categories, and so on. You can use the default provider page as is or customize the page to display your institution’s specific design and information.
Your provider page can automatically generate:
A feature box with your top content
A feature box displaying all courses in your site (All Courses feature box)
A feature box with your most recent content (What’s New feature box)
A text list with links to your categorized content (Categories list)
A text list with links to your courses by language (Languages lists)
Note: For iOS, your provider page automatically generates and displays a See All button and a Categories button linking to your category pages (if your site contains courses in more than one category).
In addition, you can customize your provider page by creating and adding:
Provider art
A theme designed for your site
Custom feature boxes, containing at least three individual courses and/or materials, to highlight different content within your site
URL lists containing hypertext links to additional content, supporting documents, and content considered external to the primary content
You can further customize your provider page to introduce your site to your users and describe your site’s purpose, and to be sure your provider page displays well in iTunes, iPad, and iPhone. By further customizing your page you also allow your users to benefit from additional features in iTunes U Public Site Manager.
You can configure layouts for iTunes, iPad, and iPhone through a single user interface. As you customize your page and configure layouts, you can use the View Preview menu item to preview the page before you publish.
