Creatives
The following Apple News ad formats are supported using Google Ad Manager. To set up banner and video ads, use image, Google Campaign Manager 360, or other supported third-party ad tags. For native ads, Apple News native creative template is required. See the following chart for more details.
Note that iPad may include Apple Vision Pro devices.
Add creatives
Available creative formats for Google Ad Manager follow the same specification as the Ad specifications for Apple News. Also refer to Advertising on Apple News content guidelines for creatives guidelines.
When adding creatives to a line item for Apple News, use the following steps.
From the main menu, choose Delivery.
Click Creatives.
Choose New Creative.
Input the Advertiser.
Choose the creative upload or the ad tag. See Google’s guidelines on adding creatives. Apple News supports only image, Google Campaign Manager ad tags, and other supported third-party ad tags. For video, Apple News supports only VAST tags. See Google’s guidelines for trafficking video creatives. Only third-party tags designated for Apple News from approved vendors are supported. Non-supported tags trigger an ad rejection, which may cause ad serving issues within your channel(s). See Apple News Third-party ad tag technical specs for details.
If adding a native ad for your line, choose the Apple News Native template.
If a creative is rejected during the ad auditing process, you’ll need to recreate the creative and traffic out the new creative ensuring it has a new creative ID. Creatives are blocked according to their creative ID(s).
