
Change preferences in Podcasts on Mac
In the Podcasts app on your Mac, use Podcasts preferences to change various options.
General
Use the General pane in Podcasts preferences to change options for refreshing and downloading shows.
To change these preferences, choose Podcasts > Preferences, then click General.

Refresh Podcasts | Choose how often Podcasts checks for new episodes. If you choose Manually, you can check for new episodes by choosing File > Refresh Feeds (or Control-clicking the Podcasts icon in the Dock and choosing Check for New Episodes). | ||||||||||
Automatically Download Episodes | Choose to have Podcasts automatically download only new or all unplayed episodes when they become available. If you don’t want any episodes to download automatically, choose Never. |
Playback
Use the Playback pane in Podcasts preferences to specify playback, skip buttons, and headphone controls options.
To change these preferences, choose Podcasts > Preferences, then click Playback.

Advanced
Use the Advanced pane in Podcasts preferences to specify syncing, automatic deleting, and Siri Suggestions options.
To change these preferences, choose Podcasts > Preferences, then click Advanced.
