
Show nearby transit in Maps on Mac
If you frequently ride transit, you can pin Nearby Transit so you can easily access transit options near you, including locations and departure times.
Note: Transit features aren’t available in all countries or regions. See the macOS Feature Availability website. Pinned routes are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be read by Apple.
Pin nearby transit
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click Pinned in the sidebar, then do one of the following:
Below Siri Suggestions, click
to the right of Nearby Transit.
Click
, then click Nearby Transit.
If you don’t see the sidebar, click
.
To unpin Transit using a trackpad, swipe left with two fingers on the pin, then click Delete.
View transit options near you
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click Pinned, then click Nearby Transit.
If you don’t see Transit, pin nearby transit, as above.
To see other routes, click More Lines (if available).
Click one of the transit options (such as a bus leaving at a certain time) in the place card, then do any of the following:
See other departure times: Choose another time from the menu.
See stops before the one closest to you: Click More.
Pin a line: Scroll down, then click Pin Line. The transit line now appears at the top of the Nearby Transit window.
Remove a pin: Scroll down, then click Unpin Line.
See the route on a map: Scroll down, then click View on Map. The map view zooms in or out to show all the stops after your current location.
Get directions to the nearest stop: Scroll down, then click Get Directions.
When you get transit directions, you may be able to see the fare.
