Stores preferences
Use the Stores pane of Parental Controls System Preferences to disable access to the iTunes Store and the iBooks Store, and to limit a child’s access to music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books to only those with age-appropriate ratings.
To view these preferences, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Parental Controls, click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password (or if your Mac has a Touch Bar, use Touch ID). Select a user, then click Stores.

Disable iTunes Store, iTunes U, and iBooks Store | Select the checkboxes to prevent the child from accessing the iTunes Store, iTunes U, and the iBooks Store. |
Restrict music with explicit content | Select the checkbox to block music with explicit content. |
Restrict movies, TV shows, and apps to | Select the checkboxes and choose age-appropriate ratings from the corresponding pop-up menus to restrict access to movies, TV shows, and apps. |
Restrict books with explicit sexual content | Select the checkbox to block books with explicit sexual content. |
Logs | Monitor a child’s use of the Mac. Click Logs to get information on the child’s app and Internet activities. For more information, see Monitor children’s computer usage. |
