Change preferences in App Store on Mac
Use App Store preferences to change how App Store updates your apps and to control the sound on preview videos. Learn how to update apps.
To change these preferences in the App Store app on your Mac, choose App Store > Preferences.
Option | Description |

Automatic Updates | Have your Mac check for downloads and install updates automatically. |
Automatically download apps purchased on other devices | Have your Mac automatically download apps that you purchased from the App Store on other Mac computers and devices (supported iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS apps only). You must be signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the apps. |
Video Autoplay | Have your Mac automatically play app preview videos with the sound off. |
