Rate places and add photos in Maps on Mac
You can rate places you visit and share photos to help others.
Note: Apple Ratings and Photos isn’t available in all countries or regions.
Provide ratings and photos
Go to the Maps app on your Mac.
Click a location on a map.
In the place card, click Rate, then do any of the following:
Provide ratings: Click or for the available categories.
Submit photos: Click Add Your Photos, choose the photos you want to add, then click Add.
Note: If the Rate button isn’t available, you can’t rate that location or add a photo.
Click Done.
To upload your photos to Apple, you must have an Apple Account.
Edit your ratings
Go to the Maps app on your Mac.
Click in the toolbar.
Click Ratings & Photos.
Click a location in the Ratings and Photos card, click You Rated in the place card that appears, then make your changes.
Click Done, then click Done again.
Edit your photos
Go to the Maps app on your Mac.
Click in the toolbar.
Click Ratings & Photos.
Click a location in the Ratings and Photos card, Control-click your photo in the place card that appears, then choose .
Click one of the following:
Delete Your Photo
Change Photo Credit
Your ratings and photos appear on all devices where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
You may receive suggestions in Maps to submit a rating or photo if you recently visited or took a photo of a point of interest. These suggestions use on-device processing and cannot be read by Apple. If you want to stop receiving these suggestions, choose Maps > Settings, click Ratings & Photos, then unselect Show Ratings and Photos Suggestions.
