Take a tour of MacBook Air
Before you get started with your MacBook Air, here’s a quick introduction to its buttons, features, and ports.

Get to know your ports
Your MacBook Air comes with two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports and one MagSafe 3 port.
Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. The left side of your MacBook Air has two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. Each port can support one external display and transfers data at USB 4 speeds (up to 40 Gbit/s).
Charge your MacBook Air. Use the MagSafe 3 port and the included USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable to charge your MacBook Air. You can also connect a USB-C Charge Cable to either of the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports.
Connect an accessory to your MacBook Air. You can use both Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports to connect or charge devices, like an iPhone.
Connect a display to your MacBook Air. You can connect up to two external displays, as well as a projector or HDTV, to either of the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. See Connect an external display to MacBook Air.
Use an adapter to connect a device. If your device has a connector that doesn’t match the port on your MacBook Air, you can use an adapter. See Adapters and cables for your MacBook Air.
