View your contacts in Contacts on Mac
View individual contacts and lists of contacts.
View individual contacts
Go to the Contacts app on your Mac.
Do any of the following:
See a contact: In the list of contacts, select a contact. Contact information is shown on the right.
See a contact in a separate window: Double-click a contact in the list or select a contact and choose Card > Open in Separate Window.
Tip: You can quickly search for emails, messages, events and documents that mention a contact. Control-click the contact in the list, then choose the Spotlight command.
Siri: Say something like: “Show me Jane’s information.” Learn how to use Siri.
View lists of contacts
Go to the Contacts app on your Mac.
Do any of the following:
See lists: Choose View > Show Lists to see lists in the sidebar.
See the contacts in a list: Select a list or Smart List in the sidebar.
See which lists a contact belongs to: Select a contact, then press and hold the Option key. Lists that include the contact are highlighted in blue in the sidebar.
See all contacts: Select All Contacts in the sidebar. This list compiles contacts from different accounts into one list.
See contacts in a network directory service: Select the directory in the sidebar, then search for a contact.
