
Export and import base station settings in AirPort Utility on Mac
You can export a configuration file from one base station and use it to set up another base station.
Export a configuration file
- After you configure a base station, open the AirPort Utility app  on your Mac, then choose File > Export Configuration File. on your Mac, then choose File > Export Configuration File.
- In the dialog that appears, enter a name and location for the exported file. Optionally select the checkbox to encrypt the passwords for more security. 
- Click Save. 
Use the instructions below to use the configuration file on a different base station.
Use a configuration file to set up a base station
- Open the AirPort Utility app  on your Mac, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. on your Mac, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
- In the graphical overview, select the base station you want to set up, then click Edit. You may need to enter a password for the base station. 
- Choose File > Import Configuration File, locate the configuration file that you exported, then click Open. Click Update to use the settings on your base station.
