Search the internet using Safari on Mac
In the Safari app on your Mac, enter a word or phrase in the Smart Search field.
As you type, Safari Suggestions appear.
Choose a suggestion, or press Return to search using your selected search engine.
When you click a suggestion, Safari takes you to the web page or provides you with an interactive preview containing handy information.
Tip: If you turned on Safari in iCloud settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, Safari shows suggestions from your browsing history, bookmarks and open web pages on all your Apple devices. On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then make sure Safari is turned on.
You can also use Siri or search with Spotlight to search the web, find information on your Mac and more.
To learn more, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Siri & Spotlight in the sidebar, click Spotlight Privacy on the right, then click About Search & Privacy. (You may need to scroll down.)
