Important safety information for Pro Display XDR
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or other injuries, or damage to your Pro Display XDR or other property. Read all safety information below before using your Pro Display XDR.
Handling. Set up your Pro Display XDR on a hard, stable work surface that allows for adequate air circulation under and around it. Never push objects into the ventilation openings. Your Pro Display XDR can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, or crushed, or if it comes in contact with liquids, oils, and lotions. Don’t use a damaged Pro Display XDR, such as one with a cracked screen, as it may cause injury.
Liquid exposure. Keep your Pro Display XDR away from sources of liquid, such as drinks, oils, lotions, washbasins, bathtubs, shower stalls, and so on. Protect your Pro Display XDR from dampness, humidity, or wet weather, such as rain, snow, and fog.
Temperature. Don’t expose Pro Display XDR to excessive temperatures (ambient operating temperature should be 50° to 95° F or 10° to 35° C), moisture, or humidity. Pro Display XDR is not recommended for outside use.
Ventilation. Don’t block the back ventilation opening of your Pro Display XDR. Don’t place Pro Display XDR where ventilation is restricted (for example, in a cabinet or directly against a wall).
Precautions. A display may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking these precautions:
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using a stand or adapter to mount your Pro Display XDR.
Always use furniture that can safely support your Pro Display XDR.
Always ensure your Pro Display XDR is not overhanging the edge of supporting furniture.
Always educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach your Pro Display XDR.
Always keep hands and fingers away from the moving parts of the stand to avoid being pinched.
Always route cords and cables connected to your Pro Display XDR so that they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.
Always route cords and cables connected to your Pro Display XDR in such a way that allows you to safely rotate the display.
Never place your Pro Display XDR in an unstable location.
Never place your Pro Display XDR on tall furniture (for example, a cupboard or bookcase) without anchoring both the furniture and Pro Display XDR to a suitable support.
Never place your Pro Display XDR on cloth or other materials that may be located between Pro Display XDR and supporting furniture.
Never place items on or around your Pro Display XDR that might tempt children to climb on top of the display or the furniture on which it’s placed.
VESA Mount Adapter. Read all the installation instructions and safety information that came with your VESA Mount Adapter before attaching the adapter to Pro Display XDR. Also read all the installation instructions and safety information that came with your VESA-compliant 100x100mm mounting solution before attaching it to the VESA Mount Adapter. Follow these instructions to ensure the proper setup of your Pro Display XDR and VESA mounting solution:
Make sure the VESA mounting solution and installation method (type of bolt or bracket) are sufficient to handle the weight of the Pro Display XDR (up to 7.5 kg / 16.5 lbs).
Verify that the mounting plate thickness and screw length will enable the screw to fully fasten and clamp the mounting plate to the 8mm of available thread on the VESA Mount Adapter.
Select a mounting location where the Pro Display XDR will be free from accidental impact.
Don’t mount the Pro Display XDR so that it faces downwards (for example, on the ceiling).
Note: The Pro Stand or the VESA Mount Adapter offered by Apple may only be used with the Pro Display XDR. The VESA Mount Adapter can be used with any 100x100mm VESA stand or mount.
Important: Agency compliance information and the serial number are marked on the back of your Pro Display XDR, and may be obscured when using the Pro Stand or the VESA Mount Adapter.
Power. Unplug the power cord (by pulling the plug, not the cord) and disconnect all cables if any of the following conditions exists:
The power cord or plug becomes frayed or otherwise damaged.
You spill something into the case.
Pro Display XDR is exposed to rain or excess moisture.
Pro Display XDR has been dropped, or the case has been damaged.
You suspect that Pro Display XDR needs service or repair.
You want to clean the Pro Display XDR case.
Important: The only way to turn off power completely is to unplug the power cord. Make sure at least one end of the power cord is within easy reach so that you can unplug your Pro Display XDR when you need to.

Frequency: 50 to 60 Hz
WARNING: Your AC cord has a three-wire grounding plug (a plug that has a grounding pin). This plug fits only a grounded AC outlet. If you’re unable to insert the plug into an outlet because the outlet isn’t grounded, contact a licensed electrician to replace the outlet with a properly grounded one. Do not defeat the purpose of the grounding pin.
Repair. Your Pro Display XDR doesn’t have any user-serviceable parts. Do not open or disassemble or attempt to repair it or replace any components. Disassembling your Pro Display XDR may damage it or may cause injury to you. If your needs service, is damaged, malfunctions, or comes in contact with liquid, contact Apple or an Apple-authorized repair center, such as an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you attempt to open your Pro Display XDR, you risk damaging your computer, and such damage isn’t covered by the limited warranty.
Medical device interference. Pro Display XDR contains components, including magnets, that emit electromagnetic fields. These electromagnetic fields may interfere with medical devices, such as pacemakers and defibrillators. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device and whether you need to maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and Pro Display XDR. If you suspect Pro Display XDR is interfering with your medical device, stop using Pro Display XDR.
Medical conditions. If you have a medical condition that you believe could be affected by using Pro Display XDR (for example, seizures, blackouts, eyestrain, or headaches), consult with your physician prior to using Pro Display XDR.
Repetitive motion. When you perform repetitive activities such as typing or playing games on Pro Display XDR, you may experience discomfort in your hands, arms, wrists, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body. If you experience discomfort, stop using Pro Display XDR and consult a physician.
High-consequence activities. Pro Display XDR is not intended for use where the failure of the display could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage.
Explosive and other atmospheric conditions. Using Pro Display XDR in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere may be hazardous—particularly in areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles such as grain, dust, or metal powders. Exposing Pro Display XDR to environments having high concentrations of industrial chemicals, including near evaporating liquified gasses such as helium, may damage or impair Pro Display XDR functionality. Obey all signs and instructions.
