Use rulers in Pages on Mac

1. Go to the Pages app on your Mac.

2. Open a document, then choose Pages > Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen).

3. Click Rulers.

4. Select the tickbox next to “Show vertical ruler whenever rulers are shown”.

2. Open a document, then do one of the following:

   • Click in the toolbar, then choose Show Ruler (or Hide Ruler).

   • Choose View > Show Ruler (or Hide Ruler) from the View menu at the top of your screen.

When you change a unit setting for rulers in Pages, it applies to all documents. You can change the settings at any time, even if you have a document open.

1. Go to the Pages app on your Mac.

2. Open a document, then choose Pages > Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen), then click Rulers at the top of the settings window.

3. Click the Ruler Units pop-up menu, then choose an increment (Points, Centimetres or Inches).

   To show the ruler marks as a percentage of the page, select the “Display the ruler units as percentage” tickbox.

You can place 0 (zero) at the centre of the ruler so that ruler units increase to the left and right.

2. Open a document, then choose Pages > Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen), then click Rulers at the top of the settings window.

3. Select the “Place origin at centre of ruler” tickbox.
