Search for channels, topics or stories in News on Mac
Apple News makes it easy to find the channels, topics and stories that interest you.
In the News app on your Mac, type what you’re looking for in the search field at the top of the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, click in the toolbar.
You can enter the name of a channel, a topic (such as fashion or politics) or an event (such as the rescue of a baby elephant). Stories, channels and topics that match your query are listed in the sidebar.
Do any of the following:
Read a story: Click a story in the search results. To love or dislike it, click the Love button or the Dislike button in the toolbar.
See a channel or topic: Click a channel or topic in the search results to see the stories in its feed. To follow or block a channel or topic, click the Follow button or the Block button in the toolbar.
You can also follow a channel or topic by clicking its Follow icon in the sidebar.
To clear the search results from the sidebar, click the Clear button in the search field.
