What’s new in Pages on iPad
Find the right words with Writing Tools. If you have an iPad model with M1 or later, or iPad mini with A17 Pro, you can use Writing Tools with Apple Intelligence to summarize selected text with a tap, proofread your work, and create different versions of the same text to help you find the right wording and tone. You can also use ChatGPT with Writing Tools to compose and refine text. See Add and replace text.
Get creative with Image Playground. If you have an iPad model with M1 or later, or iPad mini with A17 Pro, you can use Image Playground with Apple Intelligence to create fun, original images based on a description and suggested concepts. You can also easily adjust the style and make changes to match text on a page. See Add an image.
Manage your documents. Get started quickly and stay organized with the updated document manager. Jump straight into new documents and templates, or browse recent, shared, and saved documents. To see the new document manager, open Pages on your iPad.
Add depth and realism with 3D objects. Add and edit 3D objects that simulate natural lighting, shading, and texture effects. You can add 3D objects created with 3D software or 3D scanning in the USDA, USDC, and USDZ file formats. After you add a 3D object to your document, you can resize it, play its embedded animation, and rotate it along its x, y, and z axes. See Add 3D objects.
Share a document. Quickly share and export your Pages document in a different format right from the Share menu. You can send a copy of a document using AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or another service. You can also send a copy in another format, such as PDF, Microsoft Word, EPUB, and more. See Send a document.
SVG images. Add Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) images to your document and preserve visual quality at any size. You can break apart imported SVG images into shapes, edit and combine them like other shapes, and save them to your shapes library to use later. See Add an image and Combine or break apart shapes.
Let your creativity flow with Apple Pencil. Sketch, write, navigate, and make adjustments with greater precision. With Apple Pencil hover on supported iPad devices, you can preview and switch between different drawing tools and colors without making a mark on the canvas. You can also turn handwriting into text with the Scribble tool. See Use Apple Pencil with Pages.
