Format addresses and phone numbers on iCloud.com
In Contacts on iCloud.com, you can change the format for addresses and phone numbers so they’re appropriate to a specific country or region.
Note: These changes apply only to Contacts on iCloud.com. To change the formatting for contacts on your devices, you need to use the Contacts app (on iOS, iPadOS, and Mac) or Microsoft Outlook (on Windows computers).
In Contacts on iCloud.com, click
in the sidebar, then choose Preferences.
Choose a country or region from the Address Layout pop-up menu.
To have Contacts automatically add hyphens and other symbols in phone numbers, select “Automatically format phone numbers.” If you want to be able to enter phone numbers in more than one format, don’t select this option.
Click Save.
To change the address format for a single contact, select the name of the country or region in the address portion of the contact card, then type a new one. The other address fields change to accommodate the address format of the country or region you entered.
You can’t change the phone number format for a single contact.
