About insights in Schoolwork
You can use class, assignment, and student insights to help you understand how your students are doing and make more effective instructional decisions. Insights can help you see what your students have learned, what they still need to learn, and how you can help them close the gap. For example, you can see how a student’s scores compare to the class average, where a student spends most of their time, and how frequently a student is using an app, then use the information to determine the best course of action to help the student.
As students work on their activities, Schoolwork automatically displays insights into how the entire class is doing, how all students are doing with activities in an assignment, and how each student is progressing and performing on their assigned activities.
Schoolwork displays the following insights for class, assignment, and student trends over time:
Insight | What | Displays |
---|---|---|
Progress | See progress data to help you adjust instructional timing. | Student completion rates for assignments and activities. |
Performance * | Follow student comprehension and spot possible knowledge gaps. | Scoring trends for apps and activities. |
Time Spent * | Understand where students are spending most of their time. | The amount of time students spend on assignments and activities. |
Frequency | Identify how often students interact with different activity types. | How often you assign specific assignments and activities and how often students engage with the assignments and activities. |
Note: * Indicates insight data available only after your school’s IT administrator turns on the Student Progress feature in Apple School Manager.
