Change Profiles Window preferences in Terminal on Mac
Use Window preferences in Terminal to change the title, size, scrollback limit, and other behaviors for a Terminal window profile.
To change these preferences in the Terminal app on your Mac, choose Terminal > Preferences, click Profiles, select a profile, then click Window.
Note: The options you choose in this preference pane apply only to the profile you select. They don’t apply to the Terminal app in general.

Title | To change the title of a Terminal window, enter a name in the field. Use the title option checkboxes to select the information that appears in the title bar of a Terminal window.

Window Size | To set the width and height of a Terminal window, enter the number of columns and rows you want. | ||||||||||
Scrollback | To set a limit to the number of rows in the Terminal window that you can scroll back through, click “Limit number of rows to,” then enter the new limit. | ||||||||||
Resume | Change window restore options.
Note: These restore options are ignored if “Close windows when quitting an app” is selected in System Preferences. See Change General preferences. | ||||||||||
Minimized Windows | To display information about minimized windows in the Dock, select “Display status and current contents in the Dock.” |
