Where on my Mac are the files I transferred from my PC?
After you transfer your information from a PC to a Mac and log in to your user account on the Mac, you can find your information in the following locations.
Item | Location |

Custom desktop picture | Set as the desktop picture on your Mac. To change the picture, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Wallpaper. (You may have to scroll down.) |
In the Mail app . | |
Contacts | In the Contacts app . |
Calendars | In the Calendar app . |
Web browser bookmarks, favorites, and homepage | Set in the Safari app . |
Music from iTunes | In the Music app . |
Podcasts from iTunes | In the Podcasts app . |
Audiobooks from iTunes | In the Books app . |
Files from your main documents, videos, music, and pictures folders | In the Documents, Movies, Music, and Pictures folders in your home folder in the Finder. In the Finder , choose Go > Home. |
Files outside of the User folder | In the Finder, in the /Users/Shared folder. |
Files from the desktop | Moved to the desktop of your Mac. |
Tip: To change settings for transferred user accounts, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Users & Groups in the sidebar. (You may have to scroll down.)
