Stream or transfer audio to HomePod
You can use AirPlay to stream audio from iPhone, iPad, or Mac to HomePod speakers on the same Wi-Fi network. You can also hand off media and audio calls between HomePod and your iPhone with just a tap.
Stream audio from your other devices
You can stream from an AirPlay-compatible device—such as iPhone, iPad, or Mac—to HomePod.
Make sure the devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
In the media player controls, tap
or
, then select the HomePod.
Hand off audio between HomePod and your iPhone
With just a tap, you can hand off media and audio calls from your iPhone to HomePod and vice versa.
Make sure the devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Hold your iPhone near the top of HomePod until your iPhone vibrates.
Tap Transfer (if prompted).
