Adjust audio quality and song transitions
The home owner can change certain Apple Music settings for all HomePod speakers in your home.
Note: These features require an Apple Music subscription and compatible content. Apple Music isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Go to the Home app
on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap
, then tap Home Settings.
In the People section, tap your name.
Tap Apple Music, then set any of the following:
Lossless Audio: Lossless Audio delivers CD-quality sound by preserving all the original audio data. This provides richer detail and clarity compared to compressed audio formats.
Dolby Atmos: Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos creates an immersive, three-dimensional sound experience that makes music feel like it’s coming from all around you.
Song Transitions: AutoMix and Crossfade change how songs transition into each other. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can use AutoMix, which dynamically transitions between Apple Music subscription content for a seamless listening experience, or Crossfade, which gradually transitions from one song to the next for a set duration.
