Organize devices in Apple Configurator 2
Use Apple Configurator 2 to organize devices into groups using tags. When you assign tags to devices, you can sort by those tags and see only the devices you want.
You can also see your devices in the favorites bar, in these four default groups:
All devices: All connected devices
Supervised: All supervised connected devices
Unsupervised: All unsupervised connected devices
Recovery: All devices currently in recovery mode
Click each group to view currently connected devices that meet that group’s criteria.
Assign tags to devices or Blueprints
In Apple Configurator 2 , select one or more devices or Blueprints.
Do one of the following:
Choose Tag from the toolbar.
Control-click the selected devices or Blueprints, and choose Tags.
Create new groups
To create new groups in Apple Configurator 2 , use the search field to locate devices with specific information or tags.
Click Save, give that group of devices a name, then click Save.
Sort devices
You can sort devices either in collection view or in list view.
In Apple Configurator 2 , choose View > Sort By in the toolbar and select the category that you want your devices sorted by.
