Change Siri settings on Apple Vision Pro
You can customize how you activate Siri, change Siri’s language and voice, change how Siri responds, and more in Siri settings on Apple Vision Pro.
For information about how to set up and use Siri, see Turn on and activate Siri.
Customize how you activate Siri
You can change how you activate Siri. For example, you can choose to activate Siri by using “Siri” or “Hey Siri.”
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Tap Requests, then do any of the following:
Turn on “Siri” or “Hey Siri”: Tap “Siri” or “Hey Siri,” then follow the instructions to set it up.
Depending on your choice, Apple Vision Pro listens for “Siri,” “Hey Siri,” or both to activate Siri. To re-enroll in “Siri” or “Hey Siri,” turn it off, turn it back on again, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Turn off “Siri” or “Hey Siri”: Tap Off.
Type to Siri: Turn on Type to Siri.
Note: Type to Siri only appears in Settings when Siri AI (Beta)* is turned off. When Siri AI is on, Type to Siri is on by default.
Change Siri’s language
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Tap Language, then choose an option.
Change Siri’s voice
You can change the way Siri sounds by changing the variation and voice Siri uses.
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Do any of the following:
Change the variation: Tap Voice, then select an option below Variations.
Change the voice: Tap Voice, then select an option below Voices.
Use Siri Expressive Voices**: Turn on Expressive Voices Preview, then adjust settings for voice, pace, and expressiveness until you like the way Siri sounds.
Change how Siri responds
You can change how Siri responds by choosing to have Siri always respond silently or speak back when you provide voice input. You can also choose to have your request transcribed on the screen.
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Tap Responses, then do any of the following:
Change when Siri provides voice responses: Below Preferred Response Type, choose Spoken Response or Silent Response.
Have Siri send messages without confirming: Turn on Automatically Send Messages.
Tell Siri about yourself
You can provide information to Siri—including things like your name, home, and work addresses, and even your relationships—for a more personalized experience, so you can say things like “Give me driving directions home” and “FaceTime Mom.” Siri pulls information about you from your contact card, called My Card, in the Contacts app.
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Tap Your Information, then tap your name.
On another device where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account (like iPhone or Mac), open Contacts
, then fill out your contact information.
You can tell Siri who other people are in relation to you. For example, “Siri, Eliza Block is my wife” or “Siri, Ashley Kamin is my mom.”
Your personal information—which is encrypted and remains private—stays up to date across all your devices where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account. As Siri learns about you on one device, your experience with Siri is improved on your other devices. If you don’t want Siri personalization to update across your devices, you can turn off Siri in iCloud settings.
Customize apps Siri has access to
When you give Siri access to an app, Siri can find information and provide suggestions for what you might want to do next, even before you ask. Suggestions are on by default, but you can customize the apps Siri has access to at any time.
Note: Siri and Apple Intelligence are designed to protect your privacy and keep you in control of your personal data by giving you control over what you share. To learn more, see the Siri, Dictation & Privacy website.
Go to the Settings app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Siri.
Tap App Access, then select an app.
Do any of the following:
Allow Siri to learn how you use an app to make suggestions: Turn on “Learn from this App.”
Allow suggestions from this app to appear: Below Suggestions from [app], choose where you want to see suggestions.
