If the video you're watching includes audio descriptions, you can find them in the Subtitles menu. While watching a video:
- Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD: Swipe down on your remote's Touch surface to reveal the Info panel, then swipe right to see the Subtitles panel. Swipe down and select the option that you want to use.
- Apple TV (3rd generation): Hold down Select on your remote for three seconds to reveal the Subtitles tab. Select the option that you want to use.
Set audio preferences
If you want videos to use audio descriptions by default:
- Go to Settings > General > Accessibility.
- Select Audio Descriptions.
Not all videos include audio description tracks. Check the documentation for the video you're using to see if it includes these features.
Some third-party apps provide custom audio controls for videos. If you don't see audio controls when viewing video from an app, check the documentation, or contact the app developer for more information.
