Apple Watch Ultra highlights
Apple Watch Ultra has all the capabilities of today’s Apple Watch Series 8 and much more.
A watch face designed for an active life. The Wayfinder watch face puts the most important information about your run, hike, or dive right on the watch face. To help you maintain your night vision when you’re active after dark, turn the Digital Crown up to switch to Night Mode. See Apple Watch Ultra faces and their features.
Take a hike. Designed for use in extreme terrains, Apple Watch Ultra can help you navigate the backcountry by keeping tabs on your elevation, incline, and location. Follow the compass to stay on track, add Compass Waypoints, and retrace your steps with Backtrack. See Create and display Compass Waypoints and Retrace your steps.
Push the limit. Engage in workouts that demand more from you, and use detailed views of advanced analytics on Apple Watch Ultra to monitor your workout’s progress. The Workout app includes Heart Rate Zones; customizable workouts; a Multisport workout that automatically switches between any sequence of swimming, biking, and running; Race Route, which lets you compete against your best time running or biking a familiar route; automatic track detection; Running Form metrics; Running Power; an expansive workout summary on iPhone, and more. See Work out with Apple Watch Ultra.
Signal for help. Apple Watch Ultra includes a siren that you can activate to attract attention to your location in times of trouble. See Activate the siren.
Track temperature changes. Wear your Apple Watch Ultra to bed to track nightly changes in your wrist temperature, which can provide insight into your well-being. The Cycle Tracking app can use wrist temperature data to improve period predictions and provide retrospective ovulation estimates. See Track your nightly wrist temperature and Receive retrospective ovulation estimates.
Note: The retrospective ovulation estimates feature is not available in all regions.
Save battery life with optimized charging. With Optimized Charge Limit turned on, Apple Watch Ultra can wait to finish charging past 80 percent until you need to use it. See Optimize battery charging.
