Identify a song using Shazam on the web
Using a browser extension, you can identify music playing on a current webpage. On shazam.com, you can identify music playing around you using your favorite web browser.
Identify songs in your web browser using the Chrome extension
If you’re using a Chromium web browser (such as Google Chrome) on your Mac or PC, you can install the Shazam Chrome extension to identify songs directly in a browser tab by clicking a Shazam icon.
When you use the Chrome extension to identify music, Shazam scans audio from the current browser tab, not from speakers or from the microphone.
Note: Make sure you’re using the latest version of your web browser.
In a Chromium web browser on your Mac or PC, go to the Shazam extension page on the Google Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to [your browser], then click “Add extension” in the dialog that appears.

In the browser toolbar, click the Extensions button, then click the pin icon next to Shazam.

is added to the browser toolbar.In a browser tab that’s playing music, click the Shazam icon in the toolbar to identify the song.
Optionally, do any of the following:
See your previously identified songs: Click the Shazam icon in the toolbar, click
to show your songs, then scroll the list. Songs identified using the Shazam app or on shazam.com do not appear in the list.Listen to the song on shazam.com: Click the song in the Shazam result.
Listen to the song in Apple Music on the web: Click the Open in Apple Music button.
If you’re not already signed in to Apple Music, click the Connect Apple Music button, sign in using your Apple ID, then follow any onscreen instructions to allow Shazam access to Apple Music and to listen to full songs.
Note: To listen to full songs and watch full videos you must be an Apple Music subscriber. See the Apple Support article Join Apple Music.
Identify songs on shazam.com
Open the web browser (such as Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome) on your device, then go to www.shazam.com.
Tap or click
.The identified song and its lyrics (if available) are displayed. Any available concert information is displayed below the song or below the video preview. See Discover concerts with Shazam.
Note: Songs identified on shazam.com are not saved in the Shazam app.
