
Collaborate with students in Schoolwork
When you share a collaborative file, you and your students can work in the same file at the same time. You can view and edit the file while your students are working in it, and add comments to provide real-time feedback and guide them along the way.
Schoolwork supports collaboration for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files.
Collaborate with students
To collaborate with each of your students individually in their own copy of a Numbers file:
In the Schoolwork app
, tap
in the upper right of the window.
Tap in the To field, tap a class if you have more than one, then tap to add your entire class or one or more students in your class to your Handout (swipe down to search for students), then tap Done.
Enter a name for your Handout.
To set a different due date for your Handout, tap Date, then choose the date you want.
If you add a due date to a Handout, any activities or work a student submits after the due date are late. Schoolwork automatically sets due dates to 11:59 p.m. local time for the specified day. To remove a due date, tap
.
Tap Files, then add your Numbers file (for example, Probability Lab).
Tap
, then tap “Each student can edit their own file.”
Each student receives their own copy of the Probability Lab file with their name prepended to the file name (for example, Leong Kevin - Probability Lab 2).
Enter instructional text for your Handout, then tap
.
Collaborate and view each file while students are working on their activity.
Students can work in their own copy of the file, and you can view and edit the file while your students are working in it to add comments and provide real-time feedback.
